AVSAPRO PCAT

PCAT is for quick screening purposes. Intended for use in the field to rapidly screen security & military personnel OR rapid screening of persons at border controls and airports. Should the person fail the PCAT pre-screen, it is a suggested that a formal lie-detection test be done.

It is a serious management tool devised for Security, Military, Insurance, Banking, Warehousing, Logistics, Transportation etc.

CAT was designed in response to a requirement for a reliable, high volume /rapid honesty screening system that could be administered in a non-formal setting, which is ‘de rigueur’ for Polygraph or comprehensive Voice Stress Detection systems.

PCAT utilises the same AI neural network database as Millennium. However, it accesses the database via cloud computing technology. Stress Values and final scores are provided within milliseconds, a tribute to the many months of engineering that produced the first release of PCAT.

PCAT has two components: A Dashboard Admin which is installed onto any MS Windows pc and a handheld testing device (being the Operators Android smartphone).

Two Question Constructs are available; the IZCT for Issue Tests and the MGQT for mixed issues tests. These are the two most widely used question constructs/protocols used by Lie-Detection Examiners worldwide.

The IZCT has reliability of 99,4%. The 82% rating reliability for MGQT has been increased to 88-90% when used with our Comparison Question structure and question order.

PCAT does not replace conventional polygraphy nor automated VSD (Millennium). It simply provides a complementary testing system that has not previously been available. If an examinee Passes a PCAT test, there is no need to continue with further, formal, time consuming testing.

How to run an

AVSAPRO PCAT TEST

General: Operator needs a lightweight, portable or foldable headset that matches his/her Android device. Data or wi-fi is required for the duration of the test.

Step 1

Make up a Question Construct in the Admin Dashboard on yr PC and proceed to wherever the examinees are situated, without your PC.

Step 2

First ‘practise’ the questions with the Examinee by reading them out to him/her for response.

Step 3

Fit the headset onto the examinee. Plug the other end (3,5mmØ) into the device socket. (Usually TRRS configuration).

Step 4

Run the 2 chart test as per User Instructions and getthe result on your device within seconds.

Question Constructs

A choice of two question constructs from validated polygraph methodology.

  1.  MGQT (Mixed General Questions Test) used for Pre-Employment Screening and Periodic Honesty Screening tests.
  2. IZCT (Integrated Zone Of Comparison Test) used to eliminate innocent persons from a group of suspects.

Questions

Operator poses dichotomous or closed questions, requiring only Yes/No answers.

The designated administrator can  construct question templates in the Dashboard.

Security

The system is secure and cannot be manipulated. Each report carries all salient ID data plus the subject photo, which has to be taken and cannot be applied to a different subject report.

Reporting

Efficiency

Each test consumes no more than five minutes with a reliability of > 95% , with a truth bias.

Reports

Reports indicate by means of colour coding (scores) whether the subject has passed or failed.

Zoom if required

Operators do not require specialised training. PCAT is  provided with an easy to follow User Manual. However, use of the app is extremely easy and has been specifically simplified to do away with specialised training.
