Avsapro EVC & EVC-B

The 4th Evolution in Digital Polygraphy

Introducing the Avsapro EVC & EVC-B

Avsapro introduces the EVC and EVC-B, advanced polygraph systems designed to dramatically streamline the polygraph process—reducing test duration by up to 50% plus increased reliability.

Key

System Advantages

Simplified, Accurate Scoring

  • Replaces traditional polygraph tracings with vertical bar graphs.
  • Uses ESS (Empirical Scoring System): “Biggest Wins”.
  • The examiner quickly identifies peak responses and scores them using a dropdown (+1 / 0 / -1).
  • Automatic total scoring on the same page—no need to switch screens.

1

User & Client Confidence through Transparency

  • Reduces examiner uncertainty.
  • Final charts are clean, shareable, and client-ready.
  • Encourages greater trust and acceptance of polygraph results.

2

Product Strategy and Evolution

  • Initial release will feature the EVC model only.
  • Users can later upgrade to EVC-B by adding the TGAM brainwave module at a marginal cost.

3

Accuracy, Efficiency, and Field Validation

Despite skepticism surrounding voice stress in general, Avsapro’s field data since 2008 confirms:

  • Equal or greater accuracy compared to traditional polygraph methods.
  • Combining EDA, Micro tremor Voicestress, Cardiograph, and TGAM yields the most advanced and accurate polygraph system available today.
  • First to offer AI-driven voice stress; now first to  offer AI-driven 4th generation polygraphy.

4

System Benefits

  • Eliminates 90% of the cabling and all rubber tubing.
  • Removes the piezo cushion, which serves no scoring purpose.
  • 80% lighter and more compact than traditional equipment.
  • Fast setup, rapid scoring, minimal fatigue.
  • Exam capacity can increase from 6 to 10 tests per day.

5

Scientific Methodology

The EVC-B adheres to APA validated polygraph methodologies:

  • Backster Zone Comparison Test (ZCT)
  • AFMGQT (Airforce Mixed General Question Test)
  • IZCT (Integrated Zone Comparison Test)
  • These are endorsed by the American Polygraph Association as highly reliable.

Component Overview

Avsapro EVC & EVC-B

E – Electrodermal Activity (EDA)

  • Replaces cumbersome traditional EDA assemblies.
  • Powered by two external microcomputers for heightened sensitivity and reliability.
  • Uses fingerplates or snap-on palm sensors for increased accuracy.
  • Sensor processors are enclosed in a custom, USB-compatible protective unit.

V – Voicestress Data

  • Utilizes microtremor data instead of pneumo bands.
  • Data is transmitted via Bluetooth headset
  • Powered by Avsapro’s 17-year-proven AI Voice Engine, trained on over 6,000 verified solution polygraph scores.

C – Cardiography

  • Eliminates the need for a blood pressure cuff, pump, and tubing.
  • Uses a Bluetooth-enabled medical-grade finger clip sensor.
  • Measures continuous vasodilation (venous BP).
Powered by AA Li-Ion batteries (±300 hours of operation).

B – Brainwave Monitoring (EVC-B only)

  • Integrated TGAM scanner monitors Delta, Theta, Alpha, Beta, and Gamma brainwaves.
  • Lightweight, head-mounted unit with embedded sensors.
  • Communicates via Bluetooth.
  • Uses 2xAA Li-Ion batteries (≥300 hours of usage).

Why

Traditional Polygraphy Needs Evolution

  • Horizontal, linear tracings are time consuming and difficult to analyse/score.
  • This complexity often leads to reliance on onboard scoring systems, which are prone to errors.
  • These systems cannot distinguish between genuine psychophysiological responses and innocuous movements such as:
    • Sighing
    • Shoulder shrugs
    • Arm twitches
    • Swallowing
    • Finger movements due to BP cuff discomfort

Additionally:

  • Setup and attachment times are unpleasant for examinees.
  • Charting is significantly reduced.
  • Pneumograph bands, especially for female examinees and overweight examinees are intrusive and uncomfortable.
  • Pneumographic data is often ambiguous or ignored entirely.
